Providing better health and education facilities top priority, says Union Minister

Seraikela, Dec 4: Union Tribal Affairs Minister Arjun Munda Sunday said that leading a healthy life was the fundamental right of every individual. He said it was the top priority of his ministry to provide better health and education facilities to the people remote villages of the state. He said a database of patients would be created so that they may be provided better healthcare in future.
He said people should become aware and conscious about their health in the present times. A healthy individual can make a healthy society and a developed nation, he said.
Munda further said that the health camp was organized with the view to ensure better health of people and take India forward on the path of health and strength. He said India was doing better in the field of health under the leadership of Prime Minister Narenrda Modi.
“We will keep organizing such events so that no individual is deprived of healthcare amenities. All MPs should organize such events in their respective constituencies so that a healthy society may be created,” said the Minister.
The Union minister was speaking after the inauguration of a free mega health camp titled ‘Our Better Health’ organized at Kashi Sahu College, Seraikela, under the joint aegis of Tribal Affairs Ministry, Government of India, Tata Steel Foundation and the Seraikela-Kharsawan district administration. Munda inaugurated the camp jointly with state minister Champai Soren and other guests. A welcome speech was given by the Deputy Commissioner Arava Rajkamal.
More than 20,000 people turned up at the camp and benefitted from free medical check-up facility.
Champai Soren said the state government had done well during Covid-19 pandemic by joining hands with the Centre. He said migrant labourers were brought to Jharkhand and provided health amenities. He said the state government was ensuring basic health amenities in villages through Sarkar Apke Dwar programme.
Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahato was also present during the programme.
