Chakradharpur, Aug 13: A 45 day old child was discovered in the early hours on Wednesday. The police, on being informed, rushed to the spot and picked up the child and took it to the Divisional Hospital where its condition was stated to be stable. The discarded child was found lying near the rail track along Refugee Colony.
The discovery of the child has become the talk of the town in West Singhbhum district. A young lady, on condition of anonymity observed, �The relation of a mother and child is the most beautiful of God�s gift. A mother nurtures a child in her for nine months before she delivers it into the world. Her heart throbs in the child. The pain that a woman undergoes to deliver a child can be understood by a woman alone.�
Another Refugee Colony middle aged lady said, �Parents pray for a child. When God grants them their wish, the child comes as a blessing from above. A mother�s love and care become the foundation for a child�s growth and development. The child�s future is built on a mother�s care. How can a mother throw away a child? Where are we going to?�
Such questions seemingly, have no answers.
