Chakradharpur, Aug 17: Jharkhand’s healthcare machinery cannot be improved overnight. State government is doing its best to provide better health facilities to the people under the leadership of Chief Minister Hemant Soren. This was observed on Wednesday by the state Health Minister Banna Gupta in Chaibasa.

The Health Minister arrived here in connection with an old case in which he was acquitted today. He returned to Ranchi via Chakradharpur. At Pawan Chowk, he sipped tea with local BJP leaders and also recited a poem to comment on the conduct of politicians and petty politicking resorted to by them to get votes.

Replying to questions regarding poor healthcare system in Chakradharpur and Manoharpur, Gupta said, “Health department worked efficiently during the Covid pandemic despite various constraints and saved the lives of lakhs of people. Now when the situation has improved, the health facilities have improved. State government is working to enhance quality of healthcare wherever necessary.”

Gupta spoke to the Civil Surgeon and sought list of necessary resources. He said all basic medical amenities including X-ray would be provided to poor people for free at the local sub-divisional hospital.
