Jamshedpur, June 2: Health & Safety Month 2014 at Lafarge India�s Jojobera Cement Plant was inaugurated, with the revealing of the 2014 Health & Safety Month theme �My Action, My Impact, Our Progress.� Present at the inauguration were Ajai Jain Sr. VP (Legal) & Ramesh Warke – V P JCP Lafarge India, Rakeshwar Pandey President Lafarge India Employees Union and other senior official of Jojobera Cement Plant.
To mark the occasion a blood donation camp was organized within the plant premises in association with the Indian Red Cross Society Jamshedpur. More than 162 employees, including contractual employees, voluntarily participated in the program and donated blood. Camp was inaugurated by Jamshedpur Traffic DSP � Rakesh Sinha , Ajai Jain � Sr. VP Legal , VP JCP � Ramesh Warke , Rakeshwar Panday ,Mr. Bijay Singh � Secretary IRCS and Zilla Parasad � Rajkumar Singh, Vinoy Trivedi � Deputy President (LIEU) & Sanjeev Srivastava � Secretary (LIEU).

At Lafarge Health and Safety is priority number one and the month of June is celebrated as Health & Safety Month across all offices and plant sites in India and around the world. The focus of this year�s Health & Safety Month is to create awareness that safety rules should be followed by everyone at work and also at home. All stakeholders of the company like employees, business associates, transporters and the local community will be made aware that safety behaviour and practices should be followed at all time and should never neglected. This will ensure our safety and the safety of our colleagues, families, friends and community.
The Jojobera Plant will be undertaking different initiatives during the month including housekeeping campaign at workplace, Safety awareness programme at JCP, Health checkup camp for drivers, drawing comp and many more programme will take place during the month of May.
Speaking on the launch of the Health & Safety Month 2014, Ramesh Warke, Vice President � Jojobera Cement Plant, Lafarge India said, �At Lafarge, Health & Safety is our foremost priority. This year our efforts will be focused on creating awareness about being safe in whatever we do be it at our workplace or at our home.
Throughout this month we are organizing various activities to spread the message among our employees, their families and our stakeholders. We look forward to a month full of education, awareness, cooperation and renewed commitment towards health and safety of all. �
