Jamshedpur: In a significant step towards improving infrastructure and public amenities in the Jamshedpur West Assembly constituency, Health and Food Supply Minister Banna Gupta inaugurated various road and development projects worth Rs 28 crore. The event was marked by a traditional ceremony where the minister performed a puja and broke a coconut, symbolizing the formal commencement of the projects.
The inauguration included the launch of road construction work on several key routes in the constituency, including Sankosai Road No. 5 to Gudrubasa Dimna Basti, Hayat Basti Road Baliguma Bagan area to J.V. Mahato Home Road, Sankosai Road No. 5 near the bridge to Kedar Bagan Road, and many other crucial roads within Mango and Dimna areas.
Among the key roads inaugurated were: Yash Bhawan (Old Purulia Road) to Alibag Colony Road, Mango-Pardih Road No. 2 to Madina Masjid Road, Mango Dimna Road to Rajendranagar Road, Mango Main Road to Gurudwara Road, Post Office Road Luthi Tower to Green Field Colony, NH 33 to Shanti Vihar via Mangal Colony, Kedar Bagan, Mango Bazaar Tank Road to Payal Talkies Ulidih Road.
In addition to the road construction projects, Minister Banna Gupta also inaugurated several urban development initiatives under the Chief Minister Gram Setu Yojana, including the construction of a bridge on the drain near Jagannath Mahato’s house that connects Mango Dimna Adarsh Nagar to Gokul Nagar. These projects aim to enhance connectivity and improve living conditions in these areas.
As part of the Urban Development Department’s schemes, Minister Gupta also inaugurated the construction of a Chhath Ghat in Kadma Shastrinagar Block No. 3 and Kadma Ramjanm Nagar, at a cost of Rs. 22 lakh, to provide a safe and clean space for the local community to celebrate Chhath Puja. The inauguration of a Jogger’s Park near Shaheed Nirmal Seva Sadan Shastrinagar Block No. 1, constructed at a cost of Rs. 1.26 crore, was another highlight. This park will not only serve as a recreational space but will also contribute to environmental sustainability through horticulture landscaping and beautification efforts.
During the inauguration ceremony, Minister Banna Gupta emphasized his commitment to the continued development of the constituency. He reassured the public that development work has not stopped and will not stop, adding, “I personally inspect each locality and meet with residents to listen to their problems and try to solve them on the spot.”
He further added, “Today, we are laying the foundation for many projects that will ensure the uninterrupted flow of development, just like the Ganga flows eternally. These initiatives will benefit the people and enhance the overall infrastructure of our constituency.”
