Hazaribagh panchayat member brutally killed, body found in the forest

Hazaribagh: A young man named Mohan Mahato was killed in Hazaribagh district of Jharkhand. Mohan Mahato was a Panchayat Samiti member of Gondalpura in Barkagaon block. The body of 33-year-old Mohan was found in Jorakat forest. After the news of the discovery of the body spread, there was a sensation in the area. After receiving the information, the police reached the spot and are interrogating the people nearby.

The family members of the deceased Mohan Mahato say that at around 6.00 pm on Wednesday, he went to his chicken farm to tie the cattle. When he reached the chicken farm, some people threatened him and Mohan was picked up and taken away to an unknown place. Mohan did not return home last night. The family searched for him in every possible place, but could not trace his whereabouts.

Mohan’s body was found in Jorakata forest this morning. This forest is in Badkagaon police station area of Hazaribagh. Seeing Mohan’s dead body, it is being speculated that he has been electrocuted to death. However, it is also suspected that he did not die due to electrocution. There are no marks of injury on the body. The police have started investigating. On the information of Mohan’s dead body, many people have reached the place of the incident.

In this regard, Barkagaon SDPO IPS Amit Kumar Singh said that the police are investigating the case. The body is being sent for post-mortem. The investigation is ongoing on all aspects.
