Jamshedpur: Rajasthani community women celebrated Hariyali Teej Singhara festival with gaiety and fanfare on Friday. The celebration was based on �retro� theme. The participants danced to the tune of various Rajasthani folk songs.
Mamata Murarka, secretary of Rajasthan Yuvak Mandal, organizer of the event, said the festival was dedicated to Goddess Parvati. On this day, marred women observe fast to pray for the long life of their husbands. Unmarried women too, observe fast to get a suitable partner.
The participants included Prabha Padiya, Lata Khirwal, Sangita Mittal, Bindia Garhwal, Ankita Lodha, Savita Sawa, Rajni Mittal, Kiran Garhwal, Babita Bankrewal, Rinku Khirwal, Preeti Agrawal, Vineeta Naredi and Babita Puriya.
