Jamshedpur, Nov 6: BJP leader Hari Mukhi has staked his claim to contest the Assembly elections on a party ticket. He met BJP district president Dinesh Kumar and handed him a representation demanding a ticket for his candidature for the Jugsalai Vidhan Sabha seat.

Mukhi mentioned in the letter that candidates who were original settlers in the constituency and belonged to the majority segment among SC community should get preference in matters of election ticket preference and claimed that the Mukhi community formed the majority.  Hari Mukhi also said that a candidate from the Mukhi community would result in optimum benefit to the BJP through votes of this Samaj in Jamshedpur East and West, Ghatshila and Potka VS constituencies.

Hari Mukhi said that his demand for a party ticket for the Jugsalai reserved constituency should be considered on the lines of seniority while stating, I have contested from this Vidhan Sabha seat on two earlier occasions on Congress tickets and so I have the experience to fight the Assembly polls and therefore I am the senior most claimant for the ticket. If our party seriously considers my claim for this (Jugsalai) seats ticket then a BJP victory is assured.

Others who accompanied Hari Mukhi to meet the partys district president Dinesh Kumar were Khema Ram, Niranjan Mukhi, Suresh Mukhi, Achintyo Banerjee and others.
