Har Har Mahadev Seva Sangh’s blanket drive completes 25 years in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur: Inspired by the universal message of the Guru Granth Sahib — “Nanak Naam Chardi Kala, Tere Bhane Sarbat Da Bhala” (May God bless everyone) — the Har Har Mahadev Seva Sangh concluded its 2025 Blanket Service Campaign, marking 25 years of uninterrupted humanitarian service. The campaign, led by the Sangh’s founder Amarpreet Singh Kale, has become a historic symbol of service, compassion, and dedication in the city and surrounding rural areas.

This year’s extensive blanket distribution drive was carried out with dignity, discipline, and a deep humanitarian spirit, aiming to protect the most vulnerable sections of society from the biting winter cold. On the final day of the campaign, blankets were distributed among the needy, elderly, and helpless people in areas such as Chhota Govindpur, Yashoda Nagar, Railway Gate Govindpur, Depot Basti, Mill Area, Godown Area, Burmamines, and Birsa Nagar Sunday Market.

Earlier, the Sangh had extended its service to hundreds of villages and remote settlements across Patamda, Potka, Ghatshila, Dhalbhumgarh, Musabani, Jadugora, and Sabar Bastis. In urban Jamshedpur, coordinated from the Sakchi office, blankets were distributed in nearly all major slums, temple complexes, ashrams, and labour-dominated areas. Special attention was also given to sadhus and saints who have renounced their homes and are living in the city.

Speaking on the occasion, founder Amarpreet Singh Kale said that the teaching of “Sarbat Da Bhala” is the fundamental source of his life. “Service is our resolve, and compassion is our strength. When cold becomes a threat to life, standing with those in need is true humanitarian service. For the past 25 years, Har Har Mahadev Seva Sangh has worked with this very spirit, always striving to reach the last and most helpless person,” he said. Kale also acknowledged the collective efforts of city residents, volunteers, supporters, and social workers, without whom the campaign would not have been possible.

The Sangh emphasized that the blanket distribution drive is not merely an annual activity, but a living example of lifelong social responsibility. It reflects the belief that service is not a one-day event, but a continuous commitment to humanity.

City residents praised the 25-year-long humanitarian initiative, calling it an inspiration for society. Reaffirming its resolve, the Har Har Mahadev Seva Sangh stated that it will continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with the needy in the future as well, keeping the lamp of service burning and spreading the light of hope, faith, and humanity throughout society.
