Jamshedpur: Mahatma Hansraj Jayanti was celebrated at DAV Public School, NIT Adityapur, with the active and willing participation of students on Wednesday.
The celebration began with the principal, teachers and students paying homage to the great leader. A special ‘ hawana’ ceremony was also performed on the occasion.
Several activities including speech competition, skits and story narration on the life of this great founder of DAV School were performed by the students.
Speaking on the occasion, the school principal O P Mishra threw light on the life and achievements of Mahatma Hansraj and informed the students about how he had started the DAV movement and propagated education to the people of the society.
Earlier, Acharya Dharm Prakash, Sanskrit teacher of the school, spoke on Mahatma Hansraj’s life and informed the gathering about his contribution in the field of quality education.
