Jamshedpur, June 22: International Yoga Day was celebrated at Haldia Refinery Employees� Club Auditorium on Wednesday with much enthusiasm.
The inaugural lamp of the Yoga camp was lit by C. K. Tiwari, ED, Haldia Refinery in the presence of S. K. Chakraborty, CGM (T), Sri S K Kundu, CGM(H,S&E), Ms. Mohua Basu, GM I/c. (HR), S N Jha, GM (HR), Sri V K Srivastava, GM(TS), Sri Gurumoorthy, GM(F), Sri D Sutradhar, GM(Proj.) members of Patanjali Yoga Samiti, Employees with their family members, CISF Personnel and residents of neighbouring areas.
Approximately about 200 participants attended the camp. The event was conducted by Patanjali Yoga Samiti, Purba Medinipur District in co-ordination with Haldia Refinery Learning Centre. Patanjali Yoga Samiti demonstrated and guided the gathering with their expertise in performing various yogic postures.
The camp at Haldia Refinery emphasized the message that Yoga is an invaluable gift of India�s ancient tradition. Yoga embodies unity of mind and body; thought and action; restraint and fulfillment; harmony between human being and nature; a holistic approach to health and well-being.
