Jamshedpur, November 21: The East Singhbhum district police has prepared a foolproof plan to control those who get into the world of crime after being released from jail.
A monitoring register will be created to curb such criminals. At present, names of 83 criminals from all 16 police stations of the district will be recorded in this register. These are the criminals whom the police have identified after a lot of homework. These criminals include those who commit incidents of murder, robbery, snatching, theft and firing.
The SSP had asked for a list of such criminals from all the police stations. For this, instructions were issued to the police stations. He was clearly told that a list of such criminals should be prepared only after investigation, so that no innocent person is harmed. For this, proper investigation was asked at many levels. Police stations were asked to prepare a list of non-habitual and habitual criminals and compile it. This personal and criminal data about criminals should be available to the police, so that it can be useful in future also.
After submitting the list to the District Police Headquarters, an action plan for the monitoring register has been prepared. The proposal for list of habitual criminals and monitoring register has been sent to the Deputy Commissioner. Such criminals have been included in this against whom more than one case is registered.
SSP Kishore Kaushal said that the police will keep an eye on such criminals with the help of surveillance register. In this, the work and activities of the criminals after their release from jail will be recorded. Along with the list of relatives of the criminals, all the information about them will also be recorded. By doing this, it will be easier for the police to reach him if he commits a crime again.
Once the surveillance register is started, the criminal will also have to inform the concerned police station before leaving the city.
Police investigation revealed that the maximum number of 13 cases of habitual crime were registered in Govindpur police station of Jamshedpur city, while the least number of one case was registered in Baharagora police station. There are 11 such cases registered in Ulidih and 12 such cases in Sonari. The number of such cases in Jadugora is 5.
