Jamshedpur, Feb 15: In an endeavor to encourage young players, an �Intra-bustee Volleyball Tournament� was organized at Namda Community Centre today. The day-long tournament served as a platform showcasing the potential of the players.
Gwala Bustee, ISWP was crowned the winners while Jemco Super Club was the runners up for the occasion.
Nandani Shukla, Principal, Kerala Samajam Model School (KSMS), Sakchi graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and gave away prizes to the winners.
Urban Services, Tata Steel imparts regular training in various sporting disciplines including Volleyball across all its twelve community centres. Such training helps in identifying and nurturing sports talent which also provides constructive guidance to the youth.
To inculcate a healthy spirit of competitiveness, the Urban Services unit organizes Inter-bustee events which help the budding players prepare for performance at state and national level competition.
