Jamshedpur: Chief Minister Raghubar Das had a New Year gift for the Sikh community today when he announced that Guru Nanak Devji�s 550th Prakash Parv will be celebrated at State level. �It would be the endeavor of the State government to make the Prakash Parv memorable,� the Chief Minister said.
Earlier, the 350th Prakash Parv of Guru Govind Singh was celebrated at the Gopal Maidan in 2017.
Speaking to a Sikh delegation that met Raghubar Das to give him New Year greetings, he said, �I will definitely try to attend Guru Govind Singhji�s 352nd Prakash Parv on January 13 to be organized at Kitadih Gurudwara.�
The Sikh delegation presented a shawl to the Chief Minister. The shawl was presented on behalf of Takht Shri Hari Mandir managing committee by its vice president Sardar Indrajeet Singh. Rangreta Mahasabha representatives Manjit Singh and Didar Singh honored the Chief Minister with Hira Ratna Award for social service.
Surjit Singh Khushipur of Rangreta Mahasabha requested Raghubar Das to provide OBC certificates to the Sikh community. While assuring the delegation on the issue, Das stated, �Your demand will be sent to the Jharkhand State Backward Commission and based on its report, the State Government will take necessary action.�
The Pradhan of Kitadih Gurudwara Committee Sardar Arjun Singh Walia invited Chief Minister Raghubar Das to attend Guru Govind Singhji�s 352nd Prakash Parv on January 13 which was accepted. Sardar Indrajit Singh requested the Chief Minister to attend an International conclave to be organized in Patna.
The Sikh delegation included Kuldip Singh Buggey, Pahalwan Kuldip Singh, Gyani Kuldip Singh, Sardar Harjinder Singh, Rinku Pradhan, Jaspal Singh and Kulwinder Singh.
