Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s Prakash Parv: Jamshedpur Sikh Naujawan Sabha appeals devotees to avoid fireworks and posters during Nagar Kirtan

Jamshedpur: A meeting of the Central Sikh Naujawan Sabha was held at the Sakchi office of the Central Gurdwara Committee under the chairmanship of President Amrik Singh to discuss preparations for the Nagar Kirtan scheduled on November 5 on the occasion of Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj’s Prakash Parv.

The meeting began with prayers by General Secretary Sukhwant Singh. Addressing the members, Amrik Singh appreciated the exemplary service rendered by the association during the recent Shaheedi Yatra and Jagriti Yatra from Patna Sahib. He informed that the upcoming Nagar Kirtan will commence from Gurdwara Sahib Sonari and culminate at Sakchi Gurdwara Sahib. Service responsibilities for various units were distributed as follows:

Front Traffic Service – Tinplate, Rope Service – Azad Basti, Jemco, Flag Service – Baridih
From School Children to Palki Sahib – Sonari, Birsanagar, Manifit, Santkutiya, Gaurishankar Road
Palki Sahib Service – Kitadih, Women’s Satsang Sabha Side – Tuiladungri, Golpahari, Burmamines, Mango, Telco, Sarjamda, End of the Nagar Kirtan – Kadma, Homepipe, Indranagar

Nagar Kirtan Controllers include Amrik Singh, Trilochan Singh, Maninder Singh, Gurbachan Singh, Satwinder Singh, Sukhwant Singh, and Simran Bhatia. Arrangement in-charges are Harvinder Singh, Harmeet Singh, and Ranjit Singh.

Amrik Singh appealed to all political parties, social organizations, and service camps not to display banners or posters bearing pictures of Guru Maharaj and requested that no fireworks be set off during the procession.

General Secretaries Ranjit Singh and Sukhwant Singh said that the district administration should provide adequate security arrangements for the Nagar Kirtan. They added that the committee will focus on ensuring necessary facilities such as the installation of bio-toilets and repair of streetlights along the route so that devotees do not face any inconvenience. The association members will soon meet senior administrative officials to discuss these arrangements.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Ranjit Singh, President of the Tuiladungri Youth Association, extended a vote of thanks to all members.

Those present included President Amrik Singh, General Secretaries Ranjit Singh and Sukhwant Singh, along with Satwinder Singh, Maninder Singh, Jujhar Singh, Simran Bhatia, Harjit Singh, Harsh Singh, Gurbachan Singh, Manjit Singh, and presidents and members of all the units.
