Jamshedpur: In the Inter-School Cross Country Race Championship organized by Tata Motors at the Telco Sumant Moolgaokar Stadium on July 31, Guru Gobind Singh High School, Telco, emerged victorious in the Senior Girls category. The team, comprising Chandni Kumari, Aanchal Mishra, Ritu Kumari, Riya Kumari Sah, Riya Gorai, Riya Gop, Anjali Kumari, Rakhi Gorai, Rani Rajwad, and Rani Gorai, showcased exceptional teamwork and determination to secure the title.
In addition to the Senior Girls’ victory, Ganesha Mukhi won in the Junior Boys category, while Mahi Das and Mahi Praveen triumphed in the Junior Girls category, further highlighting the school’s strong performance in the championship.
This marks the second consecutive year that Guru Gobind Singh High School has won the Senior Girls title, having also secured the trophy in 2023. The achievement is a testament to the dedication and hard work of the students, guided by their coach and sports teacher, Birendra Kumar Mishra.
The school’s principal, Pushpa Pandey, along with all the teachers, students, general secretary Santosh Singh, and the school management, extended their heartfelt congratulations to the team for their outstanding success. The victory is particularly significant as it comes after the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, further demonstrating the resilience and determination of the students.
