Jamshedpur: The election for the 85 committee members of the Tata Motors Workers Union is scheduled for Tuesday, November 26, On the first day that is November 21, current president Gurmeet Singh and General Secretary RK Singh purchased their nomination papers.
The voting will be followed by counting, starting after 5 PM on the same day. The election process for the 25 office-bearer positions will also be completed that evening by 6 PM. Election officer Chidanand Khandai said, “The entire election process will be monitored through CCTV to ensure fairness and transparency. Mobile phones and cameras are prohibited at the voting site.”
The last date for submission is November 22, after which a list of submitted nominations will be published. The final list of valid candidates to be announced on November 23. Candidates can withdraw their nominations on November 25 and the final list will be published, along with the sample ballot paper. Positions to be elected include president, general secretary, treasurer, two executive presidents, two joint general secretaries, eight vice president and ten assistant secretaries
