Jamshedpur: Gulmohur High School organized a ‘Graduation Nite’ for the Class XII batch of 2025-26 on Friday, January 30. The school auditorium was filled with a sense of pride and nostalgia as students, parents, and faculty gathered to celebrate the academic and co-curricular achievements of the outgoing batch.
Sanjay Kumar Sinha, General Manager of Technical Services at Tata Motors, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The ceremony commenced with a solemn lamp-lighting ritual and a graceful candlelight procession by the graduating students, symbolizing their transition from the protected environment of school to the responsibilities of the wider world.
Honoring Academic Excellence
The evening’s spotlight remained on the felicitation of high achievers. Ashi Kumari emerged as the star of the night, sweeping multiple awards in the Commerce stream and receiving the prestigious Principal’s Award for her holistic contribution to academics and school activities.
In the Science stream, Priyanka Shah was recognized for her stellar performance, securing the highest marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Computer Science.
Transition of Leadership
A significant highlight was the Investiture Ceremony, where the outgoing student council—led by the Head Boy and Head Girl—passed the baton to the newly elected Class XI leaders. This symbolic transfer of charge underscored the school’s commitment to continuity and disciplined leadership.
Ankit Singh delivered a moving Valedictorian Speech on behalf of the batch, while Anita Singh, mother of Ashi Kumari, shared the parent’s perspective, thanking the faculty for their role in the students’ developmental journey.
Leadership & Mentorship
Students of Class XI coordinated the event; they were mentored by Principal Priti Sinha and Vice Principal Archana Srivastava. The core organizing team included process owners Jaswinder Kaur, Sanju Verma, and Mukesh Jha.
