Group clash averted at Mango following collision of vehicles

Jamshedpur: A clash between two groups was pre-empted on Friday evening when two two-wheelers rammed into each other near Munshi Mohalla, Mango.

Sources said the incident occurred in the evening when the two motorists fell out with each other on the main road leading to Munshi Mohalla.

Both sides accused each other of reckless driving and threatened to resort to violence. Before long, local police officials rushed to the scene and tried to resolve the dispute by their timely intervention.

Senior citizens, peace committee members and cops asked the motorists to bury the hatchet, only to succeed in their efforts after much haranguing.

In view of the incident, police force was deployed in the locality to prevent attempts to make the incident communal. Cops said anyone found fomenting discord in the communities will be booked and arrested immediately.
