Grandparents most important for children: Dinesh


Jamshedpur: Grandparents Day was celebrated at Rising Sun English Cable Basti on Saturday. The function was inaugurated jointly by the school general secretary Dinesh Kumar and Khemlal Choudhary.

In his address, Kumar said grandparents play a crucial role in shaping the minds of children. But in today’s world, many children are found wasting time playing games on mobile phones and computers or watching TV, he said.

Choudhary said parents need to pay special attention on children. Teaching social skills to children is important for their intellectual development, he said.
The programme was chaired by the Principal Shukla Majumdar.

It was conducted by teacher Lubna Khan. Many grandparents and children were present on the occasion. They included Ravishankar Dubey, Manorama Mishra, Uday Sahu, Sandhya Singh, Nisha Kumari, P Saraswati, Sangeeta Srivastava and Rekha Kumari.
