Seraikela, March 22: Seraikela circle officer (CO) Deepak Kumar said that director of Chhau Nritya Kala Kendra Tapan Kumar Pattnayak held a meeting to celebrate Chhau Mahotsav in grand scale wherein Chhau artists will showcase their talent.
On the last day of the mahotsav, Chief Minister Raghubar Das will be invited as the chief guest.
DC Chandrasekhar Prasad, president of Rajkiya Chhau Nritya Kala Kendra, Seraikela-Kharsawan, will head the Chaitparv Chhau Mahotsav Mela at Birsa Munda Stadium.
Kumar has written to the nagar panchayat officials for a cleanliness drive in the Searikela urban area and for uninterrupted electricity supply. CO also told the PHED executive engineer to improve the drinking water facility and also for electrification of the whole ground and whitewash of the venue.
The CO also ordered to take consent of the groups/organization participating in the cultural evening from April 5 to 8 and also the inter-state artists who will participate in the mela on April 10 and 11 April and inform the same to DC.
The district public relation officer (DPRO) was asked to search for the media partner and also ensure the advertisement and publicity of the mahotsav.
It was also decided to invite MPs, MLAs during the inauguration on April 10, former CM Arjun Munda, vice-chancellor of Sidho-Kanho Birsa University Putulia on April 11, while Chief Minister Raghubar Das will be invited as the chief guest on the concluding day on April 12.
