Jamshedpur, July 5: A graduation ceremony was organized at Jamshedpur Girls High School, Sakchi, on Friday. The chief guest of the occasion was the state food and civil supplies minister Saryu Roy. He gave away prizes to 12 girls who excelled in the Matriculation Board examination. He announced to give bicycles to the students so that they are able to reach school for higher education.

Addressing the gathering, Roy said the girls had brought laurels for their alma mater and their families by performing well in the exam. He said the school would be upgraded into a plus two school. He said a lot of development work had taken place in the school. He said sewing machines would be given to the school for giving training to girls.

Earlier, a welcome speech was given by the school Principal Manju Sinha. A vote of thanks was proposed by SP Singh, education representative of minister Saryu Roy.
