Jamshedpur, Feb 7: The three-day annual sports meet at Graduate College, Sakchi, began with much enthusiasm under the chairmanship of the college Principal, Dr. Veena Singh Priyadarshi. On the second day of the festival, finals for several athletic and fun competitions such as the 100m, 200m, 400m races, spoon marble sack race, needle thread race, and book balancing were organized.
The finals of these events will take place on the last day of the festival on Saturday, along with a solo and group fancy dress competition. The theme for the solo fancy dress competition is to showcase the traditional attire of different states of India, while the group fancy dress competition aims to depict various forms of nature.

The event is being coordinated under the leadership of Sports Incharge Dr. Poonam Rajak and Sports Teacher Deepika Kujur. Members of the Sports Committee, including Professor Doris Das, Dr. Archana Sinha, Dr. Sunita Bankira, Professor Anamika Kumar, Professor Pranati Ekka, Vandana, Umesh Kumar Sahistha, and Kunain, along with all teaching and non-teaching staff, were actively involved in making the event a success.
According to the college’s press committee member, Dr. Sulekha Kumari, the event has received overwhelming participation from students and promises to conclude on a high note with the upcoming finals and fancy dress competitions.
