Govt schools in Jharkhand to reopen today

Ranchi, Dec 16: The Director of School Education and Literacy Development, Jharkhand, Jata Shankar Chowdhary has directed all District Education Officers (DEO) to ensure presence of all teachers in government schools under their respective jurisdictions with effect from Thursday, December 17 in supersession of earlier orders.

The Director of School Education and Literacy Development, Jata Shankar Chowdhary vide letter dated 16/12/2020 mentioned that in supersession of orders numbers 626 of 3/5/2020 and 2264 dated 7/5/2020 issued by the Jharkhand government’s Disaster Management Department that directed government schools to have two teachers each in attendance to attend to teaching and other related work, the DEOs have now been directed to ensure all teachers of government schools to be present in their respective institutions with effect from Thursday, December 17, 2020. As per directives offline classes between 10 and 12 will be resumed from the date of effect. However, there has been no clear directive for the attendance of classes 10 to 12 students for the offline classes.
