Jamshedpur, June 17: Chief Minister Raghubar Das today announced the state government�s plan to launch a green campaign under which 2 crore saplings will be planted all over Jharkhand. The campaign will be launched on July 5.
Addressing a gathering after inaugurating a park at Baridih, the CM said, �We want to preserve the environment and plan our policies to make them environment friendly. We have plans to plan 2 crore saplings across the state to spread green cover and promote environment conversation in whatever manner possible�.
The CM also unveiled the �Zimmedaar Parivaar� logo with Ashish Mathur, managing director, JUSCO. He further experienced the open gymnasium (first-of-its-kind in Jamshedpur) and launched the door-to-door initiative of JUSCO where he interacted with social entrepreneurs and saw the display of collection vehicles � from e-Rickshaw to compactor.
Das spoke on various subjects from making Jharkhand one of the best states of India to making Jamshedpur the best city in India. From investment to skill development, the Government of Jharkhand is making efforts to rebuild the state and become one of the preferred destinations for investors, he said.
The CM advised the citizens to partner this initiative and ensure they not only become a �zimmedaar nagrik� but a �Zimmedaar Parivaar� and keep Jamshedpur clean and green.
Das spoke about the door-to-door initiative and enlisted the benefits of source segregation and how it can be a source of income for waste pickers. He also emphasized that the Government has paved way for development with focus on fostering technological collaboration, and establishing more partnership in manufacturing sector. Global Summit held at Ranchi has opened doors of opportunities. He said that for 700 crore has been assigned for skill development among youths and Government is taking various steps in this regard.
�Our government is focussed on a time-bound program to improve infrastructure both in rural and urban areas. Roads, electricity and water are our priority areas along with improving infrastructure in schools and we are working on these areas. We are confident to complete the projects as per our plans,� said Das.
The JUSCO MD in his address spoke about the campaign and requested citizens to participate in the initiative to make Jamshedpur one of the cleanest cities of India. He congratulated Arun Vidyut and his team for the good job done for the park.
