Govt keeping tab on trapped workers in Telangana: Jharkhand CM

Ranchi, February 24: The workers of Jharkhand trapped in the Srisailam Left Bank Canal Tunnel accident in Nagarkurnool district of Telangana will be brought back soon. The state government is constantly contacting the Telangana government in this matter.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren, while answering a question asked by media persons in the assembly premises in this regard, said that the top officials of the state are constantly in touch with the Chief Secretary and other officials of Telangana. The situation will be clear soon in this regard.

It is worth noting that since the information of the incident was received, the Telangana government is being constantly contacted by the State Migrant Control Room.

Responding to another question, Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that the budget session of the assembly has started from Monday. He said that the media needs to stay tuned to know how the budget session will be. On the denial of the amount due to the Center by Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and Annapurna Devi, the Chief Minister gave a restrained response and said that this is not his department.

Laborers from Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Jammu Kashmir and Punjab are trapped in the Srisailam Left Bank Canal Tunnel accident. According to the information, laborers from Palkot, Kumbatoli, Ghaghra of Gumla and Karundi of Gumla block are trapped in the Telangana Tunnel accident.

It is said that these four laborers were working as laborers in Telangana for a long time. After the incident, the State Migrant Control Room is constantly monitoring the relief and rescue operations being carried out there. At the same time, the NDRF team is also engaged in the rescue operation.
