Govt. committed to provide dignified life to poor people: CM

Ranchi, Aug. 29: Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that the govt. is committed to provide dignified life to poor people.

Foundation stone for the Rajdhani Urban Haat has been laid to fulfill this commitment. People will be able to sell their products in this haat.

The govt. will bear their transportation charge. The CM directed to complete construction of the Haat in two years.

The CM said it while addressing people at Gonda, Hatia after laying foundation stone for urban haat.

Mr. Das said that such type of haat will be constructed in other district of the state also. People will be able to sell their idols, lamps, wicks, handicraft, decoration items, rakhi etc.

The govt. is considering such type of haats where things can be sold online.

He summoned people to make good things to get rid of unemployment to a certain extent. He said that change is possible only through positive thought.

The CM said that Ranchi should be among the top 10 cities of the nation in respect of sanitation drive. The Govt. or the municipal corporation cannot counter it alone.

The people will have to come forward and develop the habit of cleanliness and not spreading dirt around. He said that in the next six months, not a single house should be without toilet. He said that camps should be conducted in Kanke area to enlist houses for toilet construction.

Appealing to the parents of girls, the CM said that they should be educated first. He said that from std. IX, the govt. is including professional education in the curriculum.

Urban Development Minister C. P. Singh said that the govt. is working for the people. The programme was also attended by Mayor Asha Lakra, Deputy Mayor.
