Ranchi, Dec. 18: A Rs. 282 crore drip-irrigation scheme has been prepared with the help of Japan through which 30,000 villagers will be provided drip-irrigation facilities for enhancement of production & livelihood. It has been forwarded to Japan government.
The RDD has prepared a livelihood enhancement project named Johaar for the world bank to invest with the estimated investment of Rs. 87 crore.
NABARD has been provided Rs. 347 crore for water shed management. Moreover, proposal has been sent for making 500 model grampanchayats in tribal & insurgency affected districts.
Scheme for basic amenities, livelihood enhancement & administrative strengthening are being made for 13 areas of the state which have been identified as highly insurgency affected. RDD Minister Mr. Nilkanth Singh Munda said it while addressing a press conference at Soochana Bhawan.
Thanking the people & media for smooth conduction of panchayat election in the state, Mr. Nilkanth Singh Munda said that his department has expensed Rs. 1100 crore.
He said that scheme making campaign will start from January 2016 & villagers will be asked for suggestions. He said that it is result of good governance that the state has been put among top two states in the implementation of CFT project. The RDD has been on top in file trekker & Sakhi Model has been chosen & awarded as Uttam Pradesh under Adarsh Gram Yojana.
He said that 3032 grampanchayats have been given tablets for the implementation of MGNAREGA so that grievances can be collected at grampanchayat level, muster roll can be filled up & payment can be done. He said that the RDD is endeavoring to provide house to all houseless villagers.
He said that panchayat buildings are being constructed in the villages & three- forth have been completed already & one-third are remaining.
The minister said that an officer found indulged in wrong activities will be lawfully punished.
