Govind Vidyalaya students spend quality time at Old Age Home

Jamshedpur: With an aim to inculcate a sense of social commitment among students, a visit to Old Age Home & Orphanage at Baradwari was organized under the banner of Interact Club of Govind Vidyalaya on January 27.
The event intended at making the students understand the fact that education teaches the society to take onus of responsibilities out of which caring for our parents and elderly is the hallmark of a civilized society.
The Interact Club Members of Std. IX & Std. XI made a genuine effort to make the elderly people of the home & orphans feel good. It was evident that at this stage of their life, these people longed for nothing more than love, care and affection. One of the students commented that after all what goes around, comes around. If we treat the elder with respect, our children will render the same treatment to us. The team was escorted by teachers Samir Banerjee, Dharmendra Sharma, Debjani Banerjee, Arbind Chakraborty and Rahul Kr Vishwakarma.
