Jamshedpur, April 8: Govind Vidyalaya in Tamulia organized an Inter House Badminton tournament with an eye on creating a harmonious feeling among students in the spirit of sportsmanship. Among the dignitaries present on the occasion were School Principal Krishna Modak, Secretary Abhishek Sharma, Vice Principal Anita Nandy, Junior Coordinator and teachers who were also introduced to the players.
In her address to the participating players, the School’s Principal, Krishna Modak said, “This is one platform to showcase your badminton skills and to note where you have gone wrong and also to pick up the better techniques of your opponents and practice accordingly to pull up your game. Play in the sport ing spirit and then, win or lose, you become close friends. Competitive games are arenas where all are winners.”
The winning teams, in order of merit were Daffodil House, Cosmos House and Lotus House. The Badminton tourney was organized by the students under the able guidance of Sports’ Teachers Anjali Sourav and Gokulanand Mishra.
