Jamshedpur, Feb. 13: Govind Vidyalaya celebrated Fresher’s Day for class 11 students in the school auditorium on Saturday. Students of class 12 hosted the ceremony where junior wing kids presented colourful cultural program.
The programme was inaugurated by Chief Guest for the occasion Managing Director of the school Dr. BD Sharma by lighting the lamp in the presence of Guest of Honor, Krishna Banerjee (Director, MIITJEE), Sanjay Kumar Singh (Principal), Miss Krishna Modak (Administrator), Anita Nandy (Vice Principal), Rita Choudhary (Junior Coordinator), Rajesh Sharma (PRO), Abhishek Sharma (Secretary), teachers and students.
The Chief Guest, Guest of Honor and the Principal addressed the students and stressed on the importance of teamwork and discipline in all spheres of life. They stated that the development of a quality educational system largely lies on the committed members of the teachers, quality infrastructure, supportive administration, large pool of learning resources and last but not the least, hardworking and brilliant students. The school primarily focuses on making its students a good human being and also a successful professional through a strategic teaching of both theoretical and practical aspects during the course of education. They felt encouraged to share that many of the students, who have emerged from the school with flying colors are now occupying higher positions in several renowned organizations both in India and abroad. They have succeeded in many respects and the management of the school is very certain that all the current students will also reach the same peak of success.
The junior students as well as senior students presented a beautiful dance respectively. Freshers shared their wonderful experiences in Govind Vidyalaya. Artistically and beautifully, freshers also showcased their talent and competed for Mr and Miss. Fresher’s crown. Durgesh Kumar and Ruchi Kumari were selected as Mr. Fresher & Miss Fresher respectively.
The welcome speech was given by Saad Akhtar and Vote of Thanks was given by President, Student Counsel, Areeb Elhan. The program was hosted by Pushpanjali Srivastava accompanied by the anchors Areeb Elhan, Farha Naaz and Daniyal Ahmad Khan.
The students were welcomed warmly by the 12thers and appraised with the school`s glorious traditions of discipline and brotherhood. The day was all about comradeship and solidarity to be established between 12thers and newcomers.
