Jamshedpur, Feb. 19: Govind Vidyalaya organized a farewell function for Class 12 students at the school auditorium on Friday.
The program was inaugurated by chief guest and managing director of the school Dr. B.D. Sharma by lighting the ceremonial lamp in the presence of Prabhakar Singh, guest of honor and general secretary, Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce.
Several events, including cultural programs, were lined up during the day. Tanzilla Hussain of Class 11 delivered the welcome speech followed by group song, group dance and duet dance. Mohammad Rahmat Shariff was crowned Mr Govind Vidyalaya, while Shafqat Mushtaque won the Miss Govind Vidyalaya title. Khusnasiba was adjudged Pretty Woman, and Saba Naaz won the Barbie title.
The other awardees are as follows:
Best Orator – Shubham Mishra, Prince Charming – Abhishek Kumar Pandey, Touch me not – Shabi Zahra, Main Chup Rahunga – Aman Kumar Srivastava, and Mr. Scientist – Aman.
Charming Queen Award went to Sheetal Kumari, Twinkle Toes – K. Mukund Priya, Cutie Pie – Taffajjul Mashum Raza, Ms. Close up – Anu Singh, Mr. Bean – Basit Hussain, Art Gallery Queen – Sweta Kabi, while Mr. Einstein Award went to Praveen Kumar.
Earlier the director blessed the students to get success in every field of life. He motivated the students with his powerful and inspirational words and wished them all with good health, better career and prosperity in life.
The program was anchored by N. Razia and Debjani Banerjee along with students Mona Singh and Nazia Khanam of Std. XI. Administrator Krishna Modak, vice-principal Molly Majumdar and the teachers, and student council played vital roles in making the program a success.
