Jamshedpur, Nov 17: The closing ceremony of the five-day Children’s Fair at Sidgora Children Park, scheduled for November 24, will be honored by the presence of Governor CP Radhakrishnan as the chief guest. MLA Saryu Rai, on behalf of the fair organizers, met with the Governor on Friday, extending an invitation for his attendance at the closing ceremony, which the Governor graciously accepted.

The Children’s Fair, a collaborative effort between Swarn Kshetra Development Trust and Jharkhand State Child Protection Commission in celebration of World Children’s Day, features over a dozen sports competitions involving students and teachers from Jamshedpur and nearby schools.

The event aims to contribute to the physical, intellectual, and mental development of children. On November 22, a seminar on child rights protection is scheduled, featuring National Child Protection Commission Chairman Priyank Kanungo as the speaker, along with the presence of Jharkhand State Child Protection Commission Chairperson Kajal Yadav and members Sunil Verma and Sanjay Mishra.

Various departments of the district administration, including the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), are actively participating in the fair, and about 50 stalls will be set up, including those from NCERT, National Book Trust, Prabhat Prakashan, and others, offering a diverse range of programs on child psychology and entertainment.
