Ranchi, Dec. 28: Inaugurating a special program organized at Raj Bhawan to commemorate the 350th Prakash Utsav of Guru Gobind Singh, governor Draupadi Murmu today said that all citizens should follow the footprints of true patriots.
The governor said that Guru Gobind Singh spread the message of love, good behavior and help the poor. Referring to the rich culture and civilization of the nation, she said that it is symbol of unity in diversity. People belonging to different sects and religion live happily with love and fraternity.
The governor said that life of Guru Gobind Singh Ji is a fine testimony of struggle, sacrifice and service to mankind. He criticized untouchability and gave the message of fraternity, peace and love. He is unparalleled in many respects all over the world. He was a saint-soldier.
Chief Minister Raghubar Das was also present during the programme. He thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for celebrating the 350th birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh on this large level.
�No nation can prosper by overlooking her glorious past. The Sikh guru defined humanity beyond religion and sect. So far as the state government is concerned, it is committed for the prosperity and development of marginalized, poor, tribal and exploited people. The government has also decided to celebrate the 350th anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh at large scale,� said the CM.
Jharkhand Assembly Speaker Dinesh Oraon, Minister C. P. Singh, ex-CM Arjun Munda, MP Ram Tahal Choudhary, Ranchi University VC and many educationists including Guru Charan Singh, Kripa Singh, Awatar Singh, Anup Jaiswal, Gama Singh and members of Indian Sikh Sangat, Jharkhand Sikh Sangat and Gurudwara unit were present.
Guru Charan Singh of Sikh Sangat said that the entire Sikh Sangat Sangh is thankful to the PM for his heartfelt desire to celebrate the 350th anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh at large scale. Nationality was his priority and he advocated for steps to curb atrocities.
Gurbani was also conducted at Raj Bhawan. Governor also inaugurated �Guru Gobind Singh Vatika� in the presence of Chief Minister and Speaker.
