Governor to attend NIT Jamshedpur’s convocation on March 20

Jamshedpur, March 18: Jharkhand Governor Draupadi Murmu will visit Jamshedpur for three-hours on Sunday to participate in two function scheduled between 9.45 a.m. and 12.45 p.m.

At first she will be taking part in the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Jamshedpur’s sixth Convocation at Tata Auditorium in XLRI and later move to Marine Drive in Sonari for Brahmakumaris Global Peace Festival.

On the other hand, seeing the governor’s Jamshedpur visit Sonari, Bistupur and Marine Drive will be made safe zones where traffic movement and security will be high during the Governor’s three-hour stay in the city.

A meeting was held in deputy commissioner’s office on Tuesday for the scheduled program of Governor. ADC Sunil Kumar, Dhalbhum SDO Suraj Kumar, National Institute of Technology’s spokesperson Deepak Chourasia discussed the minute-to-minute program of the Governor, security, law and order, traffic, water, electricity and other issues.

According to the program Governor Drapuadi Murmu will reach Birsa Munda Airport in Ranchi at 8.40 a.m. from Raj Bhawan and will depart for Jamshedpur in a helicopter at 9 a.m. Murmu will reach Sonari airport at 9.45 a.m. She will leave Jamshedpur for Ranchi at 12.45 p.m.
