Dhanbad, Dec.5 : Chief Minister Raghubar Das today said that the state government wants inclusive development of Jharkhand through public participation.
“The government wants direct participation of people from formulation of schemes to their implementation. The government is trying to collect people’s opinion in pre-budget seminars so that people-oriented budget can be made,” said the CM while addressing a division level pre-budget seminar at Koyla Bhawan, Dhanbad.
Das said that the government is simplifying laws for the welfare of the people. He summoned political and social organizations to help the government make it possible instead of raising irrelevant issues.
The CM said that some very practical suggestions have come in this seminar and they will be incorporated in the budget. He said that in the pre-budget seminar last year, the proposal for single window system in agriculture department came which was implemented in the budget and Jharkhand became the first state to implement single window system in agriculture.
Das said that the government is making efforts to supply electricity in 30 lakh remaining houses. Villages are the soul of the nation. Our endeavours would be to eradicate poverty from the state and rejuvenate it.
He said that wastage of water must be stopped. The government will make 85 ponds in Chhotanagpur and rejuvenate the existing ponds. The government is committed to provide water to peasants for irrigation.
Das said that the government will deal strictly with the lawless people. Illegal mining of coal will not be tolerated and concerned officers will be held responsible for it.
Apart from making film and textile policies, the government has made many other people oriented policies. A great number of people can be employed through textile industry.
The government has purchased 2 lakh blankets made by sakhi mandals. The development of the state is connected with the development of the poor.
