CM asks Railways to develop RDSO at Adityapur
Online ground breaking ceremony of 90 industrial projects laid
Jamshedpur: The Chief Minister on Wednesday said that the State Government will develop the capacity building of MSMEs. “We will provide all the facilities to medium and small manufacturing units. As a part of this we have ensured bank loans to the tune of Rs 136 crore to 1,114 MSME’s functioning under Adityapur Industrial Area Development Authority ( AIADA) during the last two months,” he said.
Das was addressing the inaugural function of Vendor Development Programme at Adityapur Auto Cluster. The event organised by the state government in association with Adityapur Small Industries Associaton ( ASIA) and supported by Union ministry of railway and defence was aimed at giving a boost to ‘ Make in India’ initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and to develop potential MSME’s of Adityapur, the state’s largest industry hub as vendors for railway and defence sector companies.
Das appealed both the railways and defence to explore investment opportunities in Adityapur and to also develop vendors and that the state government will provide all necessary assistance.
The Chief Minister also called on the Union Railway Ministry to set up an office of Research Designs and Standards Organisation ( RDSO) at the Adityapur industrial area. He also urged the Ministry to establish a wagon factory either in Palamau or Santhal Pargana region.
Union Minister of State For Railways Rajen Gohain, who was the guest of honour, said that he was really impressed to see the atmosphere of inspiration. Jharkhand is such a state which can source raw-materiels for all kinds of industries. But, the capacity utilisation is not upto the mark. In an attempt to encourage new entrepreneurs the MSME policy was announced before Diwali. This has helped in promoting new young entrepreneurs.
The minister also spoke about Prime Minister’s Make in India initiatives and how the Micro and Small Enterprises-Cluster Development Programme is helping in areas of quality upgradation and productivity.
The function also saw online ground breaking ceremony of 90 industrial projects worth around Rs 1,200 crore, MoU of which were signed during Momentum Jharkhand in February, 2017. The new industrial projects would provide direct employment to around 10,000 people and would generate another 20,000 indirect employment.
The inaugural function was also addressed by industry secretary K Ravi Kumar, Killol kamani, chairman of CII- Jharkhand chapter, S K Behera, chairman of RSB Group and Inder Agarwal, president of ASIA.
More than 25 stalls of various institutions of the Ministry of Defense has been installed, which include- Ordinance Factory Board, Gas Turbine Research Establishment, Alloy Corporation, Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders, Bharat Dynamics Limited, Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Allied Science, Defense Research and Development Organization, Bharat Earth Movers Limited, Garden rich Ship Building and Engineers, Hindustan Aeronautical Limited, Heavy Vehicle Factory Jabalpur, Heavy Vehicle Factory Avaadi etc.
