Schools to receive best possible education: DC�
Jamshedpur, Jan 7: Kolhan level Inspire Award Manak exhibition was held at People’s Academy High School in Baradwari. Schools from all over Kolhan participated.
The East Singhbhum district education department organised the event. Students from 250 government schools including Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) participated in the day-long programme.�
Deputy commissioner of East Singhbhum Ravi Shankar Shukla was the chief guest on the occasion.
The Jharkhand Education Project Council (JEPC) introduced the initiative. It� is a programme designed to help students show their talent. Students actively participate in about 10 events.��
” We are overwhelmed to see the excitement of students. We would want students to get such opportunities where they can explore and showcase their potential. The government is trying is best to ensure that children in government schools receive best possible education,” said Shukla.
A communiqu� released by the nodal organising body � stated, �After the school level competition, the block level event the qualifying participants will get an opportunity to showcase their skills in different artistic genres at the State- level competition. The State-level event will be organised on March 12 and 13.�
The major event of this season for class 1 and 2 include drawing competition, Ready for School programme while the students enrolled in class 3 to 5 showcased their talents in hand writing competition, drawing competition and essay writing.
Similarly, under seven categories, the students studying in class 6 to 8 showed their competency in martial arts display, debate, extempore, quiz, folk songs. Adding a few new components in the competition, the students of class 9 to 12 displayed their skills in skit competition based on any social issue, science exhibition, group dance �reflecting the nationalist spirit of the country, cultural events focusing on �Unity in Diversity� apart from the regular co-curricular events.
Similar format followed for the maiden competition meant to empower girls studying in 203 KGBV across the State.� As per the consolidated data of JEPC, around 34,939 government schools will participate in the competition covering all the 24 districts of the State.
