Jamshedpur, May 2: Raghuvar Das led BJP government has no road map for the development of state which has been seen with the steps taken in utilizing of funds in the growth of Jharkhand, said Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee (JPCC) president Sukhdeo Bhagat.
Addressing a press meet on Saturday, Bhagat questioned the government’s approach to development saying that the government simultaneously surrendered its unutilised funds and withdrew maximum funds for payment on the last day of the financial year on March 31.
State Congress President also criticised the government for effecting frequent transfer-posting of officials, which he said was not for administrative reasons.
Talking about the domicile policy, Bhagat accused the state government of not being serious on the domicile policy and should take a clear position on it. “We would favour priority for local masses in the 3rd and 4th grade government jobs but it appears the BJP government is not serious about it,” added Bhagat.
He also alleged that 514 innocent villagers in Jharkhand had been convinced to get branded as Naxalites and made to surrender with false promise of providing them jobs under the state government’s Surrender and Rehabilitation policy by the BJP-led government in 2011.
All the 514 villagers were illegally kept in a Cobra battalion camp in Ranchi, which needed to be investigated as no one was allowed to stay in the camp barring the personnel concerned, Bhagat claimed.
