Jamshedpur: Members of Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry accorded a warm welcome to the state health and energy minister Rajendra Prasad Singh at Chamber Bhavan, Bistupur on Thursday.
The minister was invited at the Chamber office by the SCCI members to discuss various issues of the local trade and business community. SCCI president Suresh Sonthalia and other functionaries apprised the minister of the aspirations of local traders and businessmen and sought his support to motivate local industries in every possible manner.
Rajendra Prasad Singh, addressing the gathering, said the state government had chalked out various plans to encourage local industries and attract investors from other states. He said local industries will be extended all possible support and cooperation by the state industry department and other government departments to ensure their growth and remove obstacles on the path of their development.
Sonthalia, representing the local industrial units and business community members, said the state government should make the government procedures including that of taxation simpler for the local industries and businesses to create a conducive environment for them. He reminded the minister of the contribution of local industries to the industrial growth of the state.
The Chamber members assured the minister of every possible cooperation in the growth of the state and its industries. They said the government should incorporate various policies of other states which promote industrial growth.
