Ranchi, May 14: Iterating the state government�s commitment to protect forest, land and water for a green and clean Jharkhand, Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Sunday said it was more than a slogan to him. Rather, it is the ethics of the government, he said.
Das said a tree plantation drive will be run in the whole state and 2 crore plants will be planted in the state. He made the announcement while inaugurating a book �Bargad Ka Ped� by Anuj Sinha.
He said the book �Bargad Ka Ped� underlines our concern on how to protect the environment. He said that depletion of environment has become a global concern. Moreover, trees have spiritual importance also in our lives. They are means of economy and help in balancing ecology also. The government is promoting solar energy to protect environment, he said.
The CM said that criticism should be done with a view of improvement in the system. He takes criticism as a propeller and progressive work by the government should be appreciated by all above party line. He said the government is taking keen interest in felicitating the leaders of Jharkhand movement.
�Out of 3600 applications, 3000 have been felicitated. Rest all participants will be felicitated. He said that development is the remedy of all problems. Many companies will do �Bhoomi Poojan� on 18th May.
It will provide employment opportunity to 21 thousand people. The 6000 Jharkhandi girls working in a textile mill in Gurgaon will be brought back and employed at their homes. Libraries are being opened in every panchayat for the intellectual development of the people. A special provision for this has been made in the 2017-18 Budget,� he said.
The CM saluted the mother of the brave martyrs on the occasion of Mothers� Day. He also released the books �Jharkhand Rajniti aur Halat� and �Unsung Heroes of Jharkhand� on the occasion.
MP Harivansh, Chief Editor of Prabhat Khabar Ashutosh Chaturvedi, Senior Editor Anuj Sinha, Principal Secretary to the CM Sanjay Kumar and people in good number were present on this occasion.
