Goods worth Rs 55,000 stolen from Sakchi shop

Jamshedpur, Sept 21: Unidentified thieves took away cash and goods worth Rs 55,000 from a shop at Jail Chowk under Sakchi police station area in the wee hours of Saturday.

Police sources said Arun Singh, resident of Adarsh Colony, Post Office Road, Mango and owner of the cold drink and cigarette shop, came to know about the theft this morning. Around 10.30 am, Singh opened his shop and found everything in disorder. He soon informed police about the incident. He found out that the thieves had taken away cash, cigarettes worth Rs 30,000, perfume and gutkha products worth Rs 10,000. He said last year too, the thieves had targeted his shop and stolen cash worth Rs 75,000 and goods kept in the shop.
