Good news for Jamshedpur, Sonari man who died at MGM hospital tests Coronavirus negative

Jamshedpur, March 31: Its good news for Jamshedpur as the 40-year-old who died at the isolation ward of MGM Hospital on Tuesday, March 31, tested negative for Coronavirus.  All were waiting for the report till late Tuesday night but the MGM Hospital management could only provide the report by Wednesday afternoon and to the much relief of all the report was Coronavirus negative. It may be noted that Sonari Panchwati Nagar resident Yogendra Prasad was brought to MGM Hospital at 4 am on Tuesday morning and died in the isolation ward at 7:30 am. His body has been kept in the mortuary till the arrival of the test report of swab from MGM College laboratory where COVID-19 tests are being conducted.

The deceased’s brother Harendra Prasad stated that his brother developed high fever and breathing problems. He was rushed to MGM Hospital for treatment. Doctors at the Emergency department after checkup administered saline and at 7 am admitted Yogendra Prasad in the hospital�s isolation ward. He died at 7:30 am. The district surveillance team, on receipt of information arrived at the MGM Hospital and collected samples of the deceased from the isolation ward and sent them to the testing lab at MGM College.

Meanwhile, after the death of the corona suspect in the hospital�s isolation ward the people in the hospital were panic stricken. All doctors, nurses, medical assistants and cleaning staff on night shift at the hospital�s emergency department on Monday-Tuesday night were kept in a room next to the isolation ward.
