Jamshedpur, Sept 29: The third Service Provider Recognition program for service providers of Tata Motors, Jamshedpur was held on Tuesday, September 29 at Telco Club auditorium.
For the purpose of the recognition program, all active service providers were divided into two categories : Category I-Service Providers employing upto 100 employees and Category II-Service Providers employing 101 & above employees.
On the basis of the assessment, service providers who were awarded on Tuesday evening include: CATEGORY I � Service Providers employing upto 100 employees- Winner : Goldline Logistics, Runners Up : Triveni Enterprises, Appreciation Award was given to Optech Engineering and Mona Engineering Corp. In CATEGORY II � Service providers employing 101 & above employees- M. L. Electricals & Co. was the winner followed by R. K. Enterprises while Appreciation Award was won by A.C.P. India and Mahadev Enterprises.
A. B. Lall, Head, Jamshedpur Plant graced the occasion as Chief Guest. On this occasion, an information booklet named �SANDESH� comprising of the legal rights & compliances applicable to contract workers was also released by them. Amlesh Kumar, President, Telco Worker�s Union & Prakash Kumar, General Secretary, Telco Workers� Union were present along with their entire team of Office Bearers also witnessed the event.
Earlier, each service provider had undergone a two stage selection process, In Stage I, four service providers were selected from each category on the basis of their adherence to legal compliances, safety norms & employee followed by a Q&A session with the judges.
The two stage evaluation procedure had been adopted for shortlisting and to finally recognize the best service providers for the financial year 2014-15 on the following parameters : Stage I � Internal Evaluation on- Statutory Compliance, Safety and Employee Relations. In Stage II � Presentation based on the above parameters was followed by Q & A. A panel of judges comprising of Rajesh K Das, DGM (Legal Services), T. K. Rath, AGM (Budget Control & Services Planning), Nawal K Singh, AGM (Safety) assessed the presentations made by the service providers.
Contracts Cell of ER, W & CSR division of Tata Motors Limited organized the entire event under the guidance of Pramod Kumar, (ER & GL-Labour) supported by Keshav Mani, Sr. Manager (Contracts Cell), Sumit Shankar Kundu, Manager (Contracts Cell), Harjinder Singh & Manish K Singh.
