Jamshedpur, March 4: Unidentified bike-borne criminals looted gold ornaments worth Rs 1 lakh from one Renu Tiwary near Shiv Singh Bagan under Sidhgora police station area yesterday. Sources said the incident took place around 10 pm when Renu Tiwary was returning hom with her son Sagar Kumar Tiwary on a scooty. As the two reached near Shiv Mandir Maidan, two youths riding a bike came near them and tried to snatch the gold chain from Renu Tiwary. One of the youths showed a gun to threaten the victims. The gold chain broke off in the scuffle. The accused persons took away the chain and fled towards Agrico, Renu Tiwary told police.
