Gold chain snatch from woman in Jamshedpur’s Kashidih

Jamshedpur, July 31: Masked criminal e snatched a gold chain from the neck of an elderly woman named Vimala Chaudhary at around 5 am on Friday morning near Kashidih Chowk under Sakchi police station area. The woman grabbed the chain from the front in an attempt to save the chain, but the masked one from behind pulled the chain towards her. With this, half the chain broke in the hand of the woman and half the chain went into the masked man.�

Vimala Chaudhary, a resident of Devnagar, used to live in Kashidih earlier and sells tea for the last 40 years at the Chowk in Kashidih itself. As usual, she reached Kashidih Chowk on foot from Devnagar on Friday morning to open her tea shop at around 4.30 pm. As soon as the woman reached near her shop, the masked sitting in the stare, swooped in from behind and grabbed the chain and started pulling towards her. The woman then grabbed her chain from the front.
