Jamshedpur, Sept 10: Ghatsila MLA Laxman Tudu was injured in a road accident in Namkum police station area on Tuesday. He was taken to Medica Hospital, Ranchi.
Sources said the mishap occurred around 12.45 pm when the MLA was on his way to Ranchi in a four-wheeler to attend a meeting of BJP�s legislative party. Near Rampur village, a motorcyclist suddenly crossed the road. In a bid to avoid collision, the SUV driver turned the steering fast, causing the vehicle to ram into a roadside shop.
Tudu sustained injuries in his head and face. He bled from his nose and mouth due to the injury. The three bodyguards and drivers of the car also sustained minor injuries in the incident, sources said.
The motorcyclist too, was injured in the mishap. He was taken to a local hospital.
