Ranchi: Amidst swirling speculations regarding her potential switch to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Member of Parliament Geeta Koda unequivocally refuted the rumors, asserting her unwavering loyalty to the Congress party.
Having been noticeably absent from recent party meetings and events, Geeta Koda attributed her brief hiatus to personal reasons. The clarification was provided by the state president to the state in-charge. On Thursday, the MP attended a meeting convened by Congress in-charge Ghulam Ahmed Mir.
In a statement to the press, Geeta Koda stated, “I am in Congress and will remain in Congress only. There is no question of leaving the party and contesting elections from any other party. Congress is in my veins. Our only effort is to make Congress stronger in Jharkhand.”
The strong denial comes in the wake of speculation suggesting a potential shift to the BJP.
