Jamshedpur, March 8: Akhil Bhartiya Gayatri Pariwar Trust Tatanagar on the occasion of International Women’s Day organised a free eye check up camp at Gaytri Shaktipeeth in Golpahari on Thursday, March 8.
Total of 175 women benefitted from the camp of which 25 were selected for cataract operation. The women will be operated at Saheli Nursing Home in Sonari. The camp which began at 9 am continued till 1 pm.
Later, women in large number met the DC at his office and submitted a memorandum demanding complete ban on drugs and make Jharkhand addiction free. The women also visited Chief Minister’s residential camp office and submitted an application for making the state addiction free.
To make the camp successful, Padma Kalindi, Sujata kalindi, Sukanti Devi, Pratima Sharma, Anita Devi, Pinky, Fulo Devi, Kiran Devi, rekha Sharma, Purnima Singh, Karvi Rao, Reeta Lodha, Manju Modi, Shashi Prabha Verma, Shanti Devi, Geeta Devi and others provided full support.
