Jamshedpur, Jan 30: Accused in several criminal cases and mentor of notorious gangster Akhilesh Singh who is currently lodged in Dumka jail, Vikram Sharma got out of Hotwar Central Jail in Ranchi after obtaining bail on Saturday.
A native of Dehradun in Uttarakhand, Vikram had been in jail for the last three years got out after obtaining conditional bail from Jharkhand High Court on the condition that he would be present physically during hearing of his cases in Jamshedpur Court and also give daily attendance at MGM thana in Mango.
Significantly, Vikram has a flat at Ashiana under MGM thana area and was arrested after 10 years of absconding on April 15, 2017 from a flat in Dehradun in Uttarakhand.
He was wanted in several high profile cases in Jamshedpur including murder of Tata Steel security official Jairam Singh in October 2008, murder of shoe baron Ashish Dey, firing on Kasidih resident Ravi Chaurasia, firing at in-laws house of Satyendra Singh, brother of slain gangster Paramjeet Singh at Burmamines and in murder of Paramjeet Singh inside Ghaghidih jail. In all the cases police have submitted chargesheet against Vikram Sharma.
Vikram Sharma was also associated with a political party in the past. During his arrest police had recovered laptop, mobile phone and also documents pertaining to sale and purchase of landed properties in Dehradun.
